1 Briefly disabling the MAC address filter
Make sure that your wireless router allows you to register unknown wireless devices:
- Disable the wireless router's MAC address filter.
Note:You can re-enable the MAC address filter as soon as you have completed the configuration of the wireless connection between the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater and the wireless router.

- Enable the encryption method WPA2 (CCMP) or WPA (TKIP) in the wireless router's settings.
3 Enabling the wireless router's WPS function
If you would like to use WPS to register the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater, you must enable the WPS function of your wireless router and use the correct WPS method.
- Enable the wireless router's WPS function and select "Push Button method" (WPS-PBC, Push Button Configuration) for the WPS method.
Now the wireless router is configured so that you can register the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.
