FRITZ!Powerline 546E – Service

FRITZ!Powerline is not displayed as a smart home device in the FRITZ!Box user interface

FRITZ!Powerline is not displayed in the "Home Network > Smart Home" menu of the FRITZ!Box user interface. As a result, you cannot use the FRITZ!Box user interface to change the socket's settings, for example.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • In order to display FRITZ!Powerline as a smart home device in the FRITZ!Box user interface, a FRITZ!Box with a DECT base station, except for FRITZ!Box 7312 and FRITZ!Box 7412, is required.

    Note:If you are using a FRITZ!Box without a DECT base station, or if you are using a FRITZ!Box 7312 or 7412, you can only use the FRITZ!Powerline user interface to configure the socket.

2 Enabling the smart home function in the FRITZ!Box home network

In order for the FRITZ!Powerline adapter to be displayed under "Smart Home" in the FRITZ!Box user interface, you must enable the corresponding option in the FRITZ!Powerline user interface:

  1. Click "Smart Home" in the user interface of FRITZ!Powerline.
  2. Enable the option "Share the smart home function in the FRITZ!Box home network".
  3. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
