Energy-saving functions of your FRITZ!Powerline adapters
Your FRITZ!Powerline adapters are equipped with the latest energy-saving functions. Their typical power consumption during operation is 2 watts and less than 0.5 watt in standby mode.
1 Standby mode is automatically enabled
FRITZ!Powerline adapters automatically switch to standby mode about 5 minutes after the network devices connected to them (for example televisions, computers, game consoles) are turned off. You can tell when they are in standby mode because the LEDs on the adapters are not lit.
Computers that can be started over the network are not completely turned off. In this case you you must either disable the computer's "Wake on LAN" or "Soft Off" function to allow your FRITZ!Powerline adapter to switch to standby mode, or you must use a power strip with an on/off switch to completely disconnect it from the power source. Should you have questions, consult the manufacturer of the computer.
The FRITZ!Powerline adapter that is connected to the FRITZ!Box does not switch to standby mode because the FRITZ!Box is always on.
