FRITZ!Box 7340 – Service

Configuring push services

With the push service you can have e-mails containing the connection and usage data of the FRITZ!Box sent to you on a regular basis or when certain events occur. Then the FRITZ!Box notifies you, for example, when a new FRITZ!OS is available, when there are new messages on your answering machine, or if you missed a call. In addition, you can have a backup file with your settings sent to you automatically before every FRITZ!OS update.

Note:The configuration procedure and notes on functions given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for your FRITZ!Box.

1 Entering e-mail account information

  1. Click "System" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Push Service" in the "System" menu.
  3. Click on the "Sender" tab.
  4. Click "Account Information - Additional Settings".
  5. Enter the user name for the e-mail account in the "E-mail user name" field.
  6. Enter the password for your e-mail account in the "Password" field.

Important:Your e-mail provider can tell you what to enter for the SMTP server.
